 Professional Information

Timothy Rearick is an adjunct professor in the health informatics program. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of West Florida and his MBA from the University of Florida. Mr. Rearick is a health care compliance professional with a health information technology company. He has over 25 years of experience in developing and implementing enterprise projects and programs for public and private health care organizations. He served as the State of Florida’s HIPAA Program Manager and led Florida’s statewide HIPAA coordination and compliance program. Mr. Rearick’s administrative experiences have also included stints with several prominent healthcare organizations, including Florida Blue, Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, AvMed-SantaFe and Shands HealthCare. He trained as a Registered Nurse and is a Healthcare Information Security and Privacy Professional, a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and a Project Management Professional (PMP®).
