Aircraft

 

Flight training is conducted in L3 Airline Flight Academy's Cessna 172S Nav III G1000. Complemented by full-time maintenance and dispatch teams, the fleet also includes the Piper Seminole G1000. Our aircrafts are housed at L3 Airline Flight Academy at Craig Municipal Airport (KCRG), only minutes from JU's campus.

Our aviation students receive their primary flight training in the technically advanced C172 Nav III G1000 NXi. This brand aircraft is equipped with a glass cockpit.

Piper Seminole G1000

The Piper Seminole with standard G1000 avionics is an advanced training aircraft used in our Commercial Multi Engine training. For more than 20 years, this training aircraft has been proven reliable. The Seminole is a twin-engine piston powered aircraft that seats four and is powered by two Lycoming engines. Garmin's G1000 is a seamlessly integrated all-glass avionics panel that makes flight information easy to scan and process. ​​​​​​

 

Cessna 172

Cessna 172S Nav III G1000 NXi 

The Cessna 172S Nav III is used for the Private Pilot Certificate, Instrument Rating and Flight Instructor/instrument certificates. The Cessna 172S Nav III G1000 is a four seat, single engine, high wing airplane with fixed tricycle landing gear. It is probably the most popular flight training aircraft in the world.

Garmin's G1000 is a seamlessly integrated all-glass avionics panel that makes flight information easy to scan and process. The G1000 flight deck presents flight instrumentation, navigation, weather, terrain, traffic and engine data on large-format, high-resolution displays. Garmin's™ reliable GRS77 Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) provides accurate, digital output and referencing of aircraft position, rate, vector and acceleration data. The latest Garmin G1000 software on the Seminole includes Vertical Profile View and user-defined holding patterns.
