Position Summary

The Associate Director of Admissions is responsible for leading the undergraduate student recruitment efforts for Jacksonville University in Florida and the southeast. The Associate Director will lead the recruitment and travel strategy in the assigned region, manage and support a team of admissions counselors, and track key metrics and progress toward enrollment goals throughout the admissions cycle.

Essential Job Duties

  • Analyze current and historical enrollment trends in assigned territory to develop a strategy that serves the University’s enrollment goals
  • Make recommendations to Executive Director and Vice President of Enrollment Management to improve admissions processes and improve recruitment initiatives
  • Manage, train, develop, and support a team of admissions counselors
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with both internal and external partners
  • Evaluate ROI on travel and recruiting expenses
  • May be responsible for recruiting students in a small territory; provide full-cycle support and service to prospective students, from the inquiry stage through enrollment. Meet yearly enrollment goals for territory.
  • Provide an excellent customer service and maintain a student-centered attitude in every aspect of the role

Prerequisites Required for Position

  • Master’s preferred, Bachelor’s required, in any field
  • 3+ years working in enrollment management, preferably in undergraduate admissions
  • 1+ years managerial experience
  • Strong understanding of the admissions cycle, application review process, student recruitment, and key industry metrics
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic initiatives and planning recruitment travel
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google, and other basic technology; Experience with Technolutions Slate preferred

Work Conditions

  • 8:30am to 5:00pm; flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Some local/regional travel may be required
