Position Summary

The Admissions Communications Coordinator, under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Admissions Communications, supports email, digital and print marketing and communications projects for the admissions and enrollment teams, and implements the communication strategic plan. This position will support projects/strategies that leverage marketing and communication strategies to support Jacksonville’s strategic enrollment efforts. This position will research best practices in enrollment marketing and communications and design creative content that will effectively influence student behaviors to enhance student success and recruitment.

Essential Job Duties

  • Write clear, effective, and engaging content to support strategic enrollment communications plans to support short-term and long-term goals
  • Collaborate with enrollment leaders to understand the needs of different constituent groups and adapt communications as needed to serve key audiences
  • Write and deploy communications (emails, SMS, digital ad copy, print materials, etc.)
  • Maintain knowledge of enrollment CRM as it relates to communications; Continually research best practices and cutting-edge techniques to maximize communications efforts
  • Serve as a resource for enrollment teams to proofread and review individual communications
  • Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, work collaboratively with the Office of Marketing and Communications to ensure alignment of divisional enrollment marketing efforts with broader institutional marketing goals. Support Marketing and Communications Team as necessary to serve Jacksonville University’s strategic goals
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP of Enrollment Management

Special Skills

  • Excellent writing and communication skills, as demonstrated in professional work samples submitted with application materials
  • Clear, correct, and effective communication using the English language. Proficiency in one or more foreign languages in desirable, but not required.

Prerequisites Required for Position

  • Bachelor’s degree in field related to marketing, advertising, communications, or graphic design.
  • Demonstrated record producing excellent printed and digital material that conveys a message with clarity; Demonstrated ability to adapt messaging to different audeinces
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Excellent graphic design skills
  • Understanding of email and digital marketing tactics and analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies/software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with CRM technologies
  • 1+ year of marketing/comm experience
  • Project management experience
  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
