Professional Information
Dr. Arasi Ruddock is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Jacksonville University Keigwin
School of Nursing and is part time faculty for the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse
Practitioner program. She received both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her
Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida. She is certified by
the ANCC as both a family and acute care nurse practitioner and practices in the acute
care environment. She has a strong clinical background in acute care management starting
out an ICU nurse and then pioneering the nurse practitioner role in the Intensive
Care Unit at her institution. She has over 10 years of experience as a nurse practitioner
practicing extensively with critically ill liver transplant patients and over the
last 4 years has transitioned to General Surgery. She is a graduate of University
of South Alabama's Doctor of Nursing Practice program and her research focuses on
clinical practice quality improvement, specifically the implementation of Enhanced Recovery After
Surgery protocols in effort to improve patients' perioperative experience and overall
outcomes.
