Position Summary
The Associate Director of DBA Programs is involved in the areas of marketing and recruiting for the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at Jacksonville University, including program planning, budgeting, enhancement, and expansion.
Essential Job Duties
- Develops and implements marketing plan for DBA program
- Develops and implements recruiting plan for DBA programs
- Builds a downtown presence in new location (SunTrust/TBD) of DBA Programs through special events, lecture series, non-degree continuing education experiences
- Create a concierge-style experience for all DBA Program students
- Along with the Associate Director Executive Programs, provides general oversight of the DBA Programs to include, but not limited to: orientation, developing cohort schedule, ordering books, supplies, meals, lodging.
- Works closely with the Associate Director of Executive Program to advise students, plan faculty course loads, and program planning
- Maintains and monitors program budgets
- Maintains communication with DBA Program students via phone calls, Blackboard, and emails.
- Works closely with the Graduate Admission Counselor in the recruitment of the DBA Program candidates by conducting information sessions for prospective students, participating in open houses and communicating with alumni about recruitment events
- Works closely with the graduate committee in recommending policy changes
- Assists in preparing the Davis College of Business for AACSB and SACS accreditation including creation and maintenance of assessment results and faculty qualifications
- Maintains communications with University’s stakeholders

Work Conditions
- Standard office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Work in primarily indoors, but requires traveling outdoors between campus buildings.
- Typical office-related noise such as telephones and copy machines can be expected.
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach.
- Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and other business machines.
- Near vision sufficient to read written communications and computer display screens.
- Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone
Prerequisites Required for Position
Minimum Education Requirement
- Bachelors degree
Minimum Work Experience
- 3 years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or related Master’s degree
- Business experience strongly preferred
- Experience with high-level DBA contact highly desirable
