Part-Time Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing

Part Time/Exempt
Position Summary
Teaching responsibilities include assisting with classroom/lab instruction during simulation and skills up to 30 hours per academic year; teaching one course per term – Fall, Spring, Summer; clinical site visit supervision of 10-15 students per term; precepting up to 4 students per Academic Year.
Essential Job Duties
- Part time faculty position
- Weekly office hours for students in assigned courses
Special Skills
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Computer literate
Work Conditions
- Primarily indoors except when traveling between campus buildings or being off-campus\
- Some off-campus travel required
- Work is performed under minimum supervision and requires incumbent to exercise independence and discretion
Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and scientific equipment
- Near vision sufficient to read written communications and computer display screens
- Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone
Prerequisites Required for Position
Minimum Education Requirement
- AGACNP certification required
- Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred
Minimum Work Experience
- No less than five (5) years as practicing nurse practitioner
Preferred Qualifications
- AGACNP
- Teaching experience
- Current Florida nursing license or is eligible to obtain a nursing license in the state of Florida
