Position Summary
Jacksonville University ranked as a Best Regional University by US News and World Report, invites applicants for a faculty position in the Keigwin School of Nursing. This is a full-time, 12-month position. The expected start date is August 1, 2021. Applicants will teach in the graduate and undergraduate programs. Particular expertise and certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is required.
Essential Job Duties
- Teaching responsibilities include classroom and may include clinical instruction.
- Other position-related responsibilities include committee work, curriculum updates/revisions, university service, and academic advising.
- 12-month, full-time faculty nursing position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

Prerequisites Required for Position
Minimum Education Requirement
- Master of Science Nursing
- Doctorate (PhD or DNP) from an accredited institution preferred.
- To be considered for the rank of Associate Professor, promotion to this rank at another university is required.
Minimum Work Experience
- Clinical experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Required Qualifications
- Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with lifespan experience.
- ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health NP.
- Current Florida nursing license or is eligible to obtain a nursing license in the state of Florida.
