Position Summary

Jacksonville University is seeking a Senior Academic Strategist. This 12-month full-time position reports directly to the Provost in the Office of Academic Affairs and bridges both strategic and operational roles. Working also in partnership with the Office of Analytics and Planning they are focused on the growth of Jacksonville University nationally and internationally, and are responsible for exploring, assessing, and/or implementing high-quality, scalable, and financially sustainable programs and initiatives. The Senior Academic Strategist will oversee the planning and operational oversight of a certain portfolio of newly launched academic/nonacademic programs, having an integral role in onboarding instructors, overseeing their course development, and assisting with their early classroom activities, as needed. To maximize the strategic expansion of academic programs, without burdening Jacksonville University’s existing infrastructure, the Senior Academic Strategist may, train, and develop a Program Coordinator who will embed quality measures and operational efficacy into all areas.

    role.
  • Strategic higher education front-runner with expertise in launching and overseeing a broad spectrum of degree and certificate programs.
  • Adept at implementing and managing complex academic initiatives involving numerous stakeholders and multiple priorities.
  • Combines intellectual curiosity with quantitative and analytical prowess to transform visionary ideas into viable and sustainable academic programs.
  • Effectively communicates and presents new and innovative concepts, building alignment amongst internal and external constituents.
  • Consistently demonstrates a high degree of efficiency, accuracy, accountability, integrity, and ethics.
  • Possesses extensive knowledge and experience in program oversight which assists enrollment, student support, instructional design, course supervision, marketing, finance, and other institutional areas, where applicable.
  • Must have advanced skills in all Microsoft Office products.
  • Must have advanced skills in oral and written communication.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, data science, data analytics, organization leadership, management.
  • Must be U.S. citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident – must meet DHS/DOS criteria as DSO/ARO.
  • 15+ years of experience in Higher Education, preferably in a strategic or operational role.
