Position Summary

The Office of Marketing and Communications Graduate & Professional Studies Marketing Coordinator provides writing, digital marketing and creative support that successfully communicates the value proposition of the University’s graduate and professional studies programs to potential students. The graduate marketing coordinator works with the Office of Marketing and Communications team, Graduate Admissions team, and external vendors to craft the University’s marketing efforts across both print and digital media. This position reports to the Director of Creative & Digital Marketing.

Essential Job Duties

Digital Marketing Services

  • Manage all graduate virtual information sessions and open-house advertising, including but not limited to Facebook and Instagram advertising, LinkedIn Direct Messaging advertising, organic posts on the main Jacksonville University, or program social media channels.
  • Work closely with the Graduate and Professional Studies team to ensure that the marketing and communications for virtual information sessions and open houses closely align, including placing event links on the website and developing and executing marketing plans for the events.
  • Develop marketing plans to market the graduate and professional studies programs throughout the full life-cycle of a lead including depositing and enrolling using tactics such as Google Search and Ad Roll Display
  • Set up and buy geo-fence marketing for conferences, events and business targeting
  • Use website designed templates to create and update graduate marketing websites for campaigns and program pages
  • Research keywords for SEO and Google Ad campaigns to continue optimizing campaigns
  • Design graduate digital tours using our online map builder tool

Print and Other Creative Services

  • Use graduate flyer and corporate proposal templates to create and update graduate marketing flyers/corporate proposals
  • Design print materials for graduate admissions including postcards, college booklets, and other materials
  • Provide photo and video support, as needed

Special Skills

  • Be an excellent communicator who can draft and edit communications for multiple channels, including print, website, and social media
  • Have an understanding of digital marketing and communication principles and techniques, including advertising, SEO, and analytics
  • Maintain a of proficiency with digital and print content development and management tools
  • Be able to work collaboratively with all members of the University such as the Strategic Operations Division and faculty throughout the University
  • Be highly creative

Work Conditions

  • The job is primarily indoors but includes outdoor duties
  • Standard office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • This position is eligible for a hybrid work environment but is not available for full remote work.
  • Being able to attend in-person meeting with campus clients is critical. Campus client meetings will happen at Jacksonville University’s Downtown and Arlington locations.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift and carry equipment and supplies
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and reach
  • Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and other business machines
  • Near vision sufficient to read written communications and computer display screens
  • Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone.

Prerequisites Required for Position

Minimum Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in closely related field such as marketing, communications, graphic design, or business

Minimum Work Experience

  • Experience in the marketing, communications, and/or graphic design industry. Experience can include multiple internships or one year of career experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Social media management tools expertise such as Falcon, Hootsuite or Meltwater
  • Digital marketing buying experience such as advertising managers
  • Adobe software such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
