Position Summary

The Assistant Director Executive Programs is involved in the areas of marketing, recruiting, and administrating the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) and Doctorate of Business Administration programs at Jacksonville University, including program planning, budgeting, enhancement and expansion.

Essential Job Duties

  • Assists in implementing the marketing plan for Executive programs
  • Assists in implementing the recruiting plan for Executive programs
  • Create and implement a concierge-style experience for all Executive Program students
  • Assists the Associate Director of Graduate Programs, provides general oversight of the Executive Programs to include, but not limited to: developing cohort schedule, ordering books, supplies, meals, lodging.
  • Monitors and assists with implementing the Executive programs on campus experience.
  • Participates in Graduate Program Events such as Open Houses
  • Works closely with the Associate Director of Graduate Programs to advise students, plan faculty course loads
  • Monitors program budgets
  • Maintains communication with Executive Program students via phone calls, Blackboard, and emails and during on campus visits.
  • Co-responsible for conducting orientations for the Executive Program students
  • Works closely with the Graduate Admission Counselor in the recruitment of the Executive Program candidates by conducting information sessions for prospective students, participating in open houses and communicating with alumni about recruitment events
  • Assists in preparing the Davis College of Business for AACSB and SACS accreditation including creation and maintenance of assessment results and faculty qualifications
  • Maintains communications with University’s stakeholders

Work Conditions

  • Standard office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Work in primarily indoors, but requires traveling outdoors between campus buildings.
  • Typical office-related noise such as telephones and copy machines can be expected.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach.
  • Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and other business machines.
  • Near vision sufficient to read written communications and computer display screens.
  • Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone

Prerequisites Required for Position

Minimum Education Requirement

  • Bachelors degree

Minimum Work Experience

  • 3 years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or related Master’s degree
  • Business experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with high-level executive contact highly desirable
