Position Summary

The School of Engineering and Technology in the Davis College of Business & Technology at Jacksonville University invites applications for a full-time Instructor/Clinical Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering to start in the Fall of 2022.

Essential Job Duties

This 9-month position includes responsibilities in teaching, professional development, and service. The individual selected for this position will teach a range of courses in mechanical engineering as well as core engineering design courses in our new design-integrated curriculum. The successful candidate will also be expected to collaborate with colleagues in the department, college, campus, as well as professional community and organizations.

Prerequisites Required for Position

Minimum Education Requirement

• The qualified candidate should have a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field and a strong track record of mechanical system design experience in industry. 

Minimum Work Experience

• Prior teaching or training experience is desired. 

Preferred Qualifications

•  A terminal degree is preferred.
