Position Summary
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences at Jacksonville University invites applications for part-time or adjunct non tenure track positions at the Assistant or Associate level in communication sciences and disorders for a distance learning program (pending Council on Academic Accreditation approval). The Department is seeking faculty members with expertise in all areas of speech-language disorders.
Essential Job Duties
- Develop and teach on-line courses in the area of communication sciences and disorders, graduate level
Work Conditions
- Primarily indoors
- Work is performed under minimum supervision and requires incumbent to exercise
- Independence and discretion
Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and scientific equipment
- Near vision sufficient to read written communications and computer display screens
- Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone
Minimum Requirements
- Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field preferred. Master’s level may be considered with prior teaching and clinical experience.
- Speech Language Pathology certification considered highly desirable.
