I am the Immersive Simulation Learning & IT Specialist on the Immersive Learning team, under the Keigwin School of Nursing. My primary role is to manage and maintain virtual reality equipment and software, ensuring students have reliable access to tools like Sharecare YOU, Oxford Medical Simulation, YouTube, and OrchestrateVR. My team collaborates broadly across disciplines, working closely with departments such as Law, Aviation, Mathematics, Engineering, Education, Marine Science, and Fine Arts to promote understanding and application of immersive learning technologies. We welcome inquiries from any department or field looking to integrate virtual reality into their learning experiences.
Additionally, we have recently expanded our capabilities by filming 360° videos and using OrchestrateVR software to craft interactive, immersive learning experiences. This new initiative allows us to bring deeper interactivity and engagement into various educational contexts, making immersive learning more impactful across the curriculum.
