Courthouse Arrival

Family and Guests are asked to arrive at the Duval County Courthouse, 301 W. Adams Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32202, between 9:00 and 9:15 a.m. to give ample time to pass through Courthouse security and find their way to the ceremony. All must go through Courthouse security to attend the event. The ceremony will be on the second floor, and signs/staff will be in place to direct them. Please have your guests review the link below for more information about the screening process and prohibited items - https://www.duvalclerk.com/about/prohibited-items

Parking

Parking at the Duval County Courthouse is available in the Courthouse Parking Garage at 151 Clay Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202. The entrance is on Clay Street. The rate is $4/hour or $10/day.

Entrance Tickets

Guests will be directed to the ticketed guest entrance by volunteers. They should proceed to the counter to have their ticket validated (so they can come and go).  Make sure your guests have their tickets prior to you reporting to the law school because you will not see them again until the start of the ceremony.

Ushers will assist guests to find seating.  All seats will have views of the platform and the ceiling screens will be showing the entire ceremony.

Live Streaming

For family and friends far away, the entire event will be live-streamed.  We will post on the website and by email the link to the live stream prior to the event. A separate communication will go out with the information.

Post Ceremony

Guests will be asked to remain seated while the graduates and faculty/staff recess to the main staircase of the Courthouse for class photos.  They are welcome to witness the photo but we do ask that you and your guests proceed to the law school or your next destination immediately following the photo to least disrupt the business of the Courthouse.

They may proceed directly to the law school or walk with you in the recessional back to the law school for a light reception and champagne celebration.
