Study Abroad & Away in Sorrento
Based on guidance from the federal Centers for Disease Control regarding COVID-19, the novel coronavirus, Jacksonville University is canceling all official travel to Italy through July. Our programs in Sorrento have been either canceled or postponed until further notice. We hope to resume these programs in the future.
Spend a summer, semester, or academic year abroad at our partner institution in Italy, the Sant'Anna Institute in Sorrento, located along the Amalfi Coast. JU credit is available at all programming offered at Sant'Anna Institute.

Communication, Multimedia & the Mediterranean - Summer I Cancelled

Core Courses with Creativity & Culture - Maymester Cancelled
The five-week program includes coursework with cultural excursions and field experiences on location in Sorrento, Italy. Students will examine, explore, and experience Italian culture while creating digital photography, multimedia journalism, and learning to lead. This program is specifically designed for undergraduate students working to complete core requirements or electives while experiencing the Italian culture.

This internship program is designed for undergraduates working to complete upper level credits in their major field of study.
International Healthcare - Spring 2020 Cancelled
This graduate health science trip is a unique combination of 3 groups of health science courses and professors, which will travel together at the end of the Spring 2020 semester to beautiful Sorrento, Italy. Join this group of graduate students on the experience of a lifetime, getting an up close and personal look into health care systems of southern Italy.
Marine Science and Multimedia in the Mediterranean - Summer II Cancelled
The five-week program includes coursework with cultural excursions and field experiences on location in Sorrento, Italy, and the Bay of Naples. Students will examine, explore, and experience the biology, ecology, and diversity of marine organisms in the region. Through the production of multimedia journalism, using underwater equipment, students will produce factual news and social media stories featuring the marine life of the Mediterranean.
Pathways to Speech Language Pathology - August 2020
A prerequisite program for students who've completed a baccalaureate degree in a field other than Communication Sciences & Disorders and who need to complete specific required coursework before applying to a Master's program in SLP. The courses in this program meet the pre-admission requirements of a Speech Language Pathology program at any accredited university in the United States.
