Semester & Summer Study Abroad Programs

Studying abroad for a semester or Summer term provides students with a longer, more immersive international experience. JU is proud to offer over 60 different programs in over 13 different countries for students to either take core curriculum or major-specific courses while abroad. From engineering in Italy, to interning in Costa Rica, to service learning in Thailand, the options are limitless. 

Students will take approved courses overseas and transfer credit back to JU.

To view all of our offered programs, students will first need to create a profile on our study abroad Traveler Portal.

How to Create Your Profile:

1. Click here to access the Traveler Portal, enter your email and create a password.

2. Once logged in, click 'Explore Programs' to view all program options.

3. Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow your search by course subject, location, term, etc.

Spring 2025 Semester Programs: October 1, 2024

*Please note: Students studying abroad on a Fall or Spring semester program will still be charged the $300 student service fee from JU.

Exchange Programs

Exchange programs are semester-length programs at one of JU's partner institutions. Exchange programs function similarly to other study abroad programs in that students will take approved courses overseas and transfer credit back to JU.
