Top 25 PosterEach year the Davis College of Business & Technology recognizes its most talented future business leaders with the prestigious list of Top 25 undergraduate, MBA, MSSM and MSABA graduate business students. Selected by a council of academic leadership and staff within the College, each student has earned his or her place in this elite group through outstanding academic performance, leadership, character and an unstoppable drive to succeed. The Davis College of Business & Technology Top 25 are excellent communicators and collaborators, who can solve complex problems, make sound decisions and take calculated risks based on real-time data and resources. Top 25 students frequently work in diverse teams to achieve a common goal or execute real-world projects that deliver results for major companies in Northeast Florida.

This outstanding group comes from all walks of life and from countries around the globe. They are committed, not only to their studies, but to their communities, intended professions, and to Jacksonville University itself. Bio: Joel Bogaert is a senior electrical engineering major at Jacksonville University. Joel is a high performing student with various leadership positions on campus. He has served as President of the Honors Student Association, the IEEE Student Chapter President, and the Vice President of Green Key. In addition, Joel works as a Peer Tutor on campus. Outside of school, Joel possesses extensive internship experience at the Air Force Civil Engineer Center at Tyndall Air Force Base, FL. He has worked on numerous research projects and technology option studies across two companies, ranging from photovoltaic efficiency to integrated fire research for USAF applications. Joel has been included in three research publications for his contributions. He is also a licensed drone operator and provides aerial photography for clients. Upon graduation, Joel plans to enter the field of electrical engineering.

Bio: Mackenzie is a senior majoring in Communications with a minor in Marketing. She is a current member of the JU Women’s Lacrosse team and has been since her freshman year. Being a student-athlete has taught Mackenzie many leadership skills along with time management and communicating effectively.  After earning her undergraduate degree, she plans to pursue a career in marketing and advertising. Bio: Senior at Jacksonville University Majoring in Economics and Marketing, Francisco Capellan intends to obtain his bachelor's at Jacksonville University and follow that by also obtaining his MBA in Marketing. Francisco is a member of the Men's Soccer Team here at Jacksonville University and has been able to maintain a leadership role within the team in the last couple of years. As a collegiate athlete, Francisco learned that performance is dictated by time management and effort, both on the field and in the classroom. Francisco owes his academic and athletic success to his family as they have always been there for him. After graduating and obtaining his MBA, Francisco will attempt to stay in the economics field for a company of his preference.

Bio: Graduate student Quinton Carter is pursuing a dual graduate degree, a Master’s in Science of Applied Business Analytics, and a Master of Business Administration. He is expecting to complete his graduation in Spring 2023. While completing his graduate education at Jacksonville University, Quinton works as a Senior Product Manager at Automatic Data Processing (ADP). The newly acquired knowledge from these master’s programs has led him to discover a passion for data science and understanding how this discipline can be applied to daily scenarios in business. With these degrees, Quinton will continue his pursuit into executive and strategic roles where he is motivated to create data driven tools that allow users to easily see how useful and insightful data truly is. Outside of scholastic education, he is passionate about spending time with his family, the outdoors, cooking, volunteering, traveling, and technology.

Bio: Madison is a recent BBA graduate of Jacksonville University. She majored in Marketing and minored in Sport Business, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Madison is furthering her education at Jacksonville University. She has been accepted into the master’s program, where she will begin pursuing a Master of Business Administration in January 2023 and will graduate in December 2023. Madison was a graduate assistant for the Jacksonville University Beach Volleyball team while pursuing her master’s degree. She has played on the indoor and beach volleyball teams at Jacksonville University, which helped her further develop time management, teamwork, and leadership skills. Madison’s plan after completing her master’s degree is to continue developing the skills she has learned at a company where she can create value and make a difference.

Bio: Jacob Greiner is a senior majoring in business finance. He is finishing his Bachelor of Finance degree in spring 2023 while he begins his MBA which he plans to finish in spring 2024 at Jacksonville University. Jacob is a member of the men’s lacrosse team at Jacksonville University and a two-time captain. Since high school, Jacob has spent his summers building a landscaping business, J&J Sealcoat, which he owned alongside his twin brother. He also interned at Spouting Rock asset management company this past summer while continuing to manage his landscaping business.

Bio: Gabriel Hoff is a senior at Jacksonville University majoring in Communications. He is well known for his leadership qualities and unwavering work ethic. Having started and managed a landscaping/light carpentry business in his hometown in the hills of western Massachusetts as a freshman, Gabriel built a strong network of returning clients which he has managed for the past 3 years. This endeavor developed his top notch problem-solving, collaboration, and decision-making skills. Gabriel’s work as a volunteer for his local fire department and search and rescue training satisfied both his spirit of adventure and desire to help others. At JU, Gabriel has reported for the Dolphin Channel News and now serves as the editor in chief for the school newspaper, The Navigator. As a senior, he has been interning with eXp Realty and is working towards obtaining his real estate license. He is an avid fisherman and loves to spend his free time on the water. Gabriel is excited to begin his journey into the world of real estate and finance upon graduating in the spring of 2023.

Bio: Junior, Seth Hogue, is majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Computer Engineering. After graduation, he plans to go directly into pursuing a long-term engineering job. He has been a member of the Jacksonville Men’s Lacrosse team for 3 years. He has been on the leadership group within the Men’s Lacrosse team for his sophomore and junior year. Seth is organized, diligent, a dedicated team leader, and extremely hard working both on the lacrosse field and in the classroom. He is actively seeking internships and other work experience for the summer of 2023 and full-time work after graduating in 2024, specifically interested in the automotive or aerospace industry.

Bio: Samantha Levins is a third-year business student at Jacksonville University majoring in Finance. She plans to get her bachelor's degree and go directly into working after college. Samantha has been both the VP of Operations and now President of her sorority. She has used these positions in her sorority, Alpha Epsilon Phi, to better prepare herself for future jobs and classes she will have to go through. In her free time, she tries to stay creative by drawing and painting, and is also trying to get more into photography.

Bio: Athena Masson is a broadcast meteorologist and hurricane specialist reporting across multiple news outlets. She graduated from the University of Toronto with her doctorate in 2018 where she worked on developing a new and improved hurricane scale for the North Atlantic basin. While working as a full-time meteorologist she provides forecasts and commentary internationally for major severe weather and natural disaster events, especially tropical cyclones. Athena decided to return to school to pursue a Master of Business Administration at Jacksonville University to advance her career and gain a better understanding of how the business world operates. In addition to her studies, she was a Graduate Research Assistant in the Davis College of Business and Technology, an Adjunct Professor at Flagler College, and continued to report to stations worldwide during severe weather situations. She recently completed her MBA in November 2022 and continues to report on severe weather nationally and internationally. Athena is looking into emergency management opportunities where she can utilize her skills in meteorology and business to develop methods to protect lives and property from natural disasters.

Bio: Chloe Mattivi is a third-year senior at Jacksonville University. She is majoring in Marketing with a minor in Spanish. After graduation, she will be continuing her education at JU to earn her MBA through the Grad2Grad program and is looking to work in an outdoor recreation marketing agency in the future. Chloe previously served as one of the Co-Captains for the JU Varsity Shooting Team and continues to manage the team’s social media presence. Alongside athletics, she is a member of various academic and leadership honor societies throughout campus, including Green Key. She keeps very busy through her multiple jobs on and off campus, which have allowed her to develop skills in organization, communication, and leadership. Outside of academics, athletics, and work, Chloe enjoys traveling and attending concerts.

She also plans to obtain her Certified Public Accounting license. Serinna is known for being mature, hardworking, and dedicated in and out of her classrooms. She efficiently gets all tasks done, even under pressure, and demonstrates strong professionalism in meetings and with public speaking. She is passionate about helping others and has used her passion by helping the JU community with her role in Student Government. She is always ready to learn and assist fellow employees. Bio: Ethan Neal is a fourth-year student at Jacksonville University with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Finance. Taking substantial interest in Finance and Accounting, he has recently received a CMA scholarship where he will do independent studies alongside his MBA for his CMA certificate. Bio:  Nina is a junior at Jacksonville University majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Applied Mathematics and Naval Science. After earning her undergraduate degree from the Davis College of Business and Technology, Nina will commission in the United States Marine Corps through Jacksonville University’s Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) unit. She has a contract to be a Marine Corps pilot and hopes to fly fixed wing aircraft. After her time in the military, she hopes to work in the aerospace engineering industry. She has spent her winter and summer breaks gaining experience through internships and remains involved on campus working with JAX RecWell as a Fitness Consultant. She is known for her ambition, strong work ethic, and ability to be a leader to others.

Bio:Second-year graduate student, Allison Sicbaldi is pursuing a dual Master of Business Administration and Master of Sport Management degree. After receiving an undergraduate degree in Communications from Quinnipiac University, Allison spent 2017 through 2021 working in professional athletics before enrolling at JU in the Fall of 2021. Throughout her time here at Jacksonville University she has served as the Compliance Assistant in the Athletics Department. In this role, Allison is heavily involved in athletic eligibility, recruiting, and upholding NCAA Bylaws among other various tasks. Prior to Jacksonville, she worked as a member of the Boston Red Sox’s marketing department, doing fan and youth engagement on both game days and non-game days.
