New Student Advising Information

Notes for New JU Students

Incoming Freshmen

You will be registered for their first semester classes. Once the schedule has been developed, the Academic Advising Center will notify students (via email) to schedule an appointment with an academic advisor. We strongly recommend waiting until receiving this notification before scheduling an appointment with an advisor, as we will have more information to use in our advising session.

Incoming Transfer Students

Incoming transfer students can schedule an appointment with an advisor upon making an enrollment deposit.

The advising appointment will be most productive if you have submitted all your official transcripts to JU. We recommend having your unofficial transcripts with you when you meet with your advisor to discuss the coursework you have taken.
