Commencement Bag Policy

In the interest of public safety, a clear bag policy is being implemented during commencement and for all commencement-related activities and events. This policy limits the size and type of bags and items allowed into the venue, with some exceptions for medical and childcare needs.  

The following bags are permitted:

• Clear tote bags made of vinyl, plastic or PVC. Not exceeding 12” x 6” x12” 
• One (1) gallon, clear, resealable plastic storage bag 
• Small clutch purse 
  • Must fit in the hand with or without handle or strap 
  • No larger than 4.5” x 6.5”, with or without handle or strap 
  • Can be carried separately or in an approved plastic bag 
• Medical and diaper bags (after proper inspection) 

The following items are permitted and are subject to search:

• Baby bottles 
• Binoculars 
• Cameras for still photography
• Sealed plastic water bottles 
• Medically required liquids in a permitted clear bag 
• Necessary personal effects such as keys, wallets, IDs, phones
