Professional Information
Dr. Kristen Izaryk is an Assistant Professor in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
She received a BA in Linguistics and Psychology from Carleton University in Ottawa,
Ontario, Canada. She received her MA in Linguistics and her PhD in Rehabilitation
Sciences, both of which are interdisciplinary degrees from Western University in London,
Ontario, Canada. Dr. Izaryk’s research interests include pragmatic/social communication
skills in children, developmental disorders, and the World Health Organization’s International
Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health. She also takes an interest
in interdisciplinary work in the field of healthcare sciences.
