Meet our Writing Consultants
Writing Consultants assist students analysis, research, organization, and development, model writing and revising strategies and encourage writers to experiment with these strategies, act as sounding boards for writing ideas and help writers overcome anxieties and build confidence in their writing, assist students with writing assignments, and provide one-on-one and group sessions to all students seeking writing assistance.

Wendy Campbell has joined us as our new Graduate Writing tutor. For the past 20 years, Ms. Campbell has worked in the higher education industry, teaching English and writing and editing texts for online English Composition classes. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Spalding University and a Master of Arts in English from the University of North Florida. Ms. Campbell will work exclusively with our graduate students to improve their writing skills and teach English courses.

Logan Denney
Logan Denney is a writing consultant expecting to graduate in Spring 2025. Logan is also a member of the men's rowing team here at JU and enjoys to run, cook, read, and write.
Makaylen Green
Kaylen is a senior Psychology and English major with a minor in Women and Gender Studies. As a writing consultant, she helps in all writing and literature-based coursework. When she is not tutoring, she is usually reading or working at Mayo Clinic in the Humanities in Medicine Center.
Katie Lacy
Katie Lacy is a writing consultant in the Writing Center at the ASC. She is expected to graduate in the spring of 2025. Her hobbies include reading, singing, and playing video games with her family and friends.
Summer Lewis
Summer Lewis is an English major working as a writing consultant in the ASC. She is a senior, and her hobbies include working on the Aquarian magazine, reading, and gaming.
Karol Palenik
Karol Palenik is a senior at Jacksonville University majoring in English, Music, and French. He is currently working as a writing consultant in the ASC. His hobbies include reading, practicing guitar, and playing board games with his friends.
Emily Pilny
Emily Pilny is a junior at Jacksonville University double-majoring in Psychology and Health Science, as well as minoring in Exercise Science. She plans on pursuing Occupational Therapy after achieving her undergraduate degrees. She is also involved in many clubs and organizations throughout campus. Outside of school, Emily enjoys exploring and testing new coffee shops with her friends around Jacksonville.
