Attend a LEAD Training

The LEAD Program offers interactive workshops that build leadership skills, promote student wellness, raise awareness about sexual violence, and empower participants to safely intervene in challenging situations.

Take the LEAD

Taking the LEAD means stepping up to create a culture of respect, where we actively work to prevent sexual violence and foster a safe, supportive campus community for everyone.

Students

  • Request a LEAD Workshop for your class, organization, or group to learn about preventing sexual violence and building healthy relationships.
  • Follow LEAD at Jacksonville University on social media to stay informed and engaged.
  • Share LEAD materials in your residence hall, classroom, or campus spaces to raise awareness.
  • Encourage your friends to participate in LEAD workshops and discuss the importance of preventing sexual violence and fostering a respectful community
  • If you’re concerned that a friend may have experienced or is experiencing sexual violence, check in with them. Let them know you’re there to support them and help connect them to our hotline where we can assist them as a confidential resource: Telephone (904) 721 7273
  • Stand up for a safer campus by believing that sexual violence is unacceptable and making your voice heard in your community.

Faculty/Staff

  • Request a LEAD Workshop for your class or department to promote a safer, more respectful campus environment.
  • Incorporate topics of sexual violence prevention and healthy relationships into your coursework or discussions.
  • Display LEAD materials in your office or classroom to raise awareness and start conversations.
  • Believe that sexual violence, stalking, and dating/domestic violence are unacceptable, and be vocal about creating a culture of respect and safety in your sphere of influence.
  • Familiarize yourself with campus and community resources so you can effectively support students and colleagues in need.
  • Update your email signature to include the statement: "Take the LEAD—empower others, build a safer community, and help prevent sexual violence.”
