Professional Information
Dr. Lacey Bracken, DAT, LAT, ATC, is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator
for the Master of Science in Medical Sciences (MSMS) program at Jacksonville University,
where she has taught since 2023. She holds licensure as an Athletic Trainer in Florida
and national BOC certification. Her teaching spans undergraduate and graduate coursework
in anatomy, physiology, functional anatomy, dance kinesiology, and evidence-based
practice/research. Clinically, she has served for years as Head Athletic Trainer for
JU's Dance/Fine Arts program and has extensive PRN experience across Duval County
Public Schools, physical therapy clinics, and community/collegiate athletics. She
is an active researcher and presenter in dance medicine and sports medicine (recent
peer-reviewed publication in Nutrients on collegiate dancer health, 2024; SEACSM presentation on knee OA injections, 2026),
holds national/regional service roles with NATA and the Athletic Trainers' Association
of Florida, and was nominated for JU's 2025–2026 Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching.
