Welcome Class of 2024!
Congratulations on becoming part of the Jacksonville University (JU) community! We can’t wait for you to join us at Jacksonville University!
Orientation is your first step toward acclimating yourself to campus and to becoming a JU Dolphin. This year, we will be hosting International Student Orientation in a virtual format.
Please review the information below and visit the JU International Student Services website for more information. If you have any questions, please contact Student Life at email@example.com or +1 (904) 256-7533.
To fulfill the Orientation requirement, International students should complete the following items:
Virtual Modules Through Blackboard
During this required online experience you will learn about our community, discover resources from across campus that have been put into place to serve you, and prepare for success in and out of the classroom. You can begin these self-paced modules in early July. Once you have submitted your enrollment deposit, please register here.
Tight-Knit Community Video Conferences
One of the goals of International Student Orientation is to connect you with your peers at Jacksonville University. This year, you can participate in a small group call with some of our fantastic Orientation Leaders. They will discuss what you can expect as a student here, answer your questions, and provide some tips for success in and out of the classroom. We’ll provide details in July about how to join your small group's video conference.
We will also host a video conference where you will get you meet your International Student Advisor. This is who you will go to get many of your questions answered, especially about immigration-related issues.
We recognize the uniqueness of this season, and we want to make sure you have all the support you need as you begin your transition to Jacksonville University. You will schedule a one-on-one call with your Orientation Leader (OL) to get questions answered. Your OL will continue to check in throughout the summer. You can expect your initial call in late June.
When we welcome you to campus this Fall, we will continue to provide vibrant and engaging experiences. We look forward to welcoming you on move-in weekend with additional programming.
Stay tuned! We’ll provide details closer to move-in weekend.
