Professional Information

Professor Ginger Strong is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Keigwin School of Nursing at Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences at Jacksonville University.  Professor Strong has worked as a RN and APRN in a myriad of positions over the span of a 27-year career in nursing.  She received her degrees and spent her career caring for patients, across the care continuum, in New England before moving to Jacksonville in 2021.  During that time, she advanced her nursing practice from the RN level to the APRN level in the specialty of a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her practice focuses on health promotion and disease prevention in Adult Primary Care. Professor Strong has also taught nursing students ranging from the undergraduate level to their doctoral degrees. Professor Strong has a deep passion for Simulation-Based education which she has been using for more than a decade. Her doctoral work is on the “Perceptions of graduate nurse practitioner faculty and the use of simulation in lieu of traditional clinical hours”. She joined Jacksonville University in September of 2021.
