Biography

Dr. Daphne Wang is Walker/Wells Fargo Endowed Chair of Finance and Associate Professor of Finance at the Davis College of Business and Technology, Jacksonville University. She earned a BA in Sociology from National Taiwan University, an MBA and Ph. D from the University of Texas, and completed executive education at Harvard and the University of Hawaii. Her research interests span a wide range, including corporate governance, financial crisis, mergers & acquisitions, insider trades, defined benefit pension plans. Her articles appeared in a variety of journals including Journal of Empirical Finance, Applied Economics, Finance Research Letters, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, Journal of Accounting Education, Journal of Financial Education etc. In addition, Dr. Wang has presented papers at numerous well-known discipline-specific conferences including the American Accounting Association (AAA National) and Financial Management Association (FMA National).

In addition, she serves as a faculty advisor for the JU Dolphin Student Investment Fund (DSIF), a student-managed endowment fund with more than half-million dollars of assets under the management and CFA Research Challenge team from JU.

  • Dr. Daphne Wang, Walker/Wells Fargo Endowed Chair of Finance and Associate Professor of Finance has her co-authored the article “The information content of managerial insider trades: Evidence from analyst forecasts   “ accepted to be published with Asian Review of Accounting in May 2021. 

     

  • Dr. Daphne Wang was also invited to review articles for the Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, an A*-rated journal based on the ABDC Indexfollowed up with an invitation to its annual Capital Market Conference during May 19-21, 2021.
