Professional Information

Sherri Bateh is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Keigwin School of Nursing within the Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences at Jacksonville University.  She completed her BS degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Southern Mississippi and worked as a toxicology screening analyst at Puckett Laboratory in Hattiesburg, MS, before moving to Jacksonville, FL.  Prof. Bateh received her BSN in Nursing and MSN in Clinical Nurse Education from Jacksonville University and holds national certification as a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDE). She has over 23 years of nursing experience working in the following areas: diabetes education, preop/recovery room nurse in both the inpatient and outpatient clinical setting, occupational health nurse, home health for pediatric patients and school nurse for a K-12th grade school. Additionally, she has over 6 years of experience teaching Biology, Anatomy and Physiology classes for 9-12th grades.  Prof. Bateh maintains practice as a certified diabetes care and education specialist for Ascension St. Vincent’s Southside Hospital. She is an active member of Lambda Rho Chapter-at large of Sigma Theta Tau, the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists, and the American Diabetes Association.
