Professional Information

Elizabeth Elliott became a nurse in 2002; her bedside nursing experience has included orthopedics, maternal/child, and more recently, renal care. She taught Childbirth Education classes to expected parents for five years at Flagler Hospital. Professor Elliott obtained a master’s degree as a  Nurse Practitioner in 2021, specializing in Family Practice, with a focus on women’s health, from Spring Arbor University. Most recently she has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in pediatrics at Lighthouse Pediatrics, St. Augustine, Fl. She has a passion for patient education and hopes to impart this on every student she reaches, believing education is where preventative healthcare begins. Her propelling belief is that, because women are most often the healthcare providers in the home and family, by educating and supporting mothers, nurses are in a unique position to have a profound effect on the health of the whole family. She is a member of AWHONN since 2012, and AANP since 2022. Incidentally, she is also an avid home baker, loves to camp with family and friends when the opportunity arises, and is wife of Jeremy for seven years, mother of Alex (30 year old) and Galen (27), and cat and dog mom to “Kitty” and “Basil”.
