As part of the JU semester theme “War and Peace”, the JU Wind Ensemble will present a program that explores this theme. Selections include Karel Husa’s Music for Prague 1968 – a programmatic work based on the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia, Kurt Weill’s Das Berliner Requiem for three male voices and wind orchestra on poems by Bertolt Brecht and Alfred Reed’s Rejoicing in the Beauty of Peace.
