The photography concentration offers an individually tailored degree track where students elect to pursue commercial focus or fine art photography.
The photography area has a large classroom, 14 enlarger station wet darkroom, separate film processing room, digital lab with Epson printers, studio space and alternative photographic processing area.
Students may pursue a major in Art with a concentration in Photography as part of either the Bachelor of Arts degree or the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Degree requirements for either option are listed in the course catalog each year.
All students intending to major in Visual Arts must meet the Jacksonville University requirements for admissions and must complete an official application with the University’s Admissions office. Additionally, students applying for admission into the Visual Arts must gain admission into the chosen degree program through a portfolio review process.
