Jacksonville University hosts a wide variety of camps each summer for children ages 3 to 20. We offer several overnight camps with a range of experiences for kids in both academics and athletics. North Florida Fishing Camp - June 4-9, 2023 & June 11-16, 2023

For children ages 9 - 15

A summer camp for young anglers! North Florida Fishing Camp features Charter Fishing and engaging outdoor activities for novice or experienced young anglers. Campers will further their education in fishing while learning to protect and respect the marine environment. The campers will make lasting memories with trophy catches along the way!

JU Summer Chamber Music Intensive - June 11-17, 2023

For children ages 13 - 18

Join us on the beautiful riverfront campus of Jacksonville University for a week of immersive musical study with our distinguished faculty. Enjoy on-campus housing and dining, performance opportunities, and quality instruction. Enrollment available for current 8th graders through class of 2022 seniors.

JU Lacrosse Summer Overnight Camp - June 12-14, 2023

For children ages 8 - 18

Hosted by the Jacksonville University Lacrosse program and Head Coach John Galloway, the JU Lacrosse Summer Overnight Camp's primary focus is to develop the individual and positional-specific skills needed to compete at the highest levels of lacrosse. Campers will be able to experience what life on a college campus is like while staying in Jacksonville University dormitories, eating at the JU cafeteria, and competing at the newly-renovated Rock Stadium.

JU Marine Science Summer Camps - June 26-30, 2023

For children ages 14 - 18

Led by JU Marine Science Research Institute faculty, campers will be involved with all aspects of investigating marine environments, including choosing sampling methodology and sites through monitoring water chemistry, collecting, identifying and enumerating fish and invertebrate species, and presenting the collected data in graphical format. Campers will gain hands-on experience with standard marine science collection and monitoring equipment, as well as laboratory analysis methods, including working with OCEARCH at JU.

Along with St. Johns Riverkeeper staff, the faculty will be assisted by JU undergraduate marine science majors.

Dolphin Rowing Camp at Jacksonville University June 18-23


For children ages 13-18


The Dolphin Camp is designed for both the experienced and novice high school rower (ages 13-18) looking to significantly improve their rowing ability. Instruction and coaching will be geared to the experience level and talents of each camper. The camp includes two - three daily practices on the water as well as active seminars on erg training, race preparation and body circuits. Rowers and coxswains alike are video-taped, to review and evaluate their personal form and technique. The staff will also lead discussions on the college admissions process, nutrition, training and life as a student-athlete. We will also utilize facilities on JU’s campus like the pool and outdoor volleyball courts for team building activities. Camp is geared toward beginner, intermediate, and advanced rowers and coxswains.

Campers will stay in the dorms on the Jacksonville University campus and will train out of the Negaard Rowing Boathouse, home of the Jacksonville University Rowing program. Our campers will get to experience life as a college student on the JU campus as well as row on the beautiful St. John’s River.

JU Softball Summer Camp- June 12-14

This is an ALL Skills camp for ages 8 and up. Campers will be matched up by ability level and age. With that said, campers should anticipate high intensity and a focus on skill development.
