Community Service

Community Service is an integral part of Jacksonville University’s student, faculty and staff campus experience. The University is involved in many facets of the community including health, sports, arts, and much more. This involvement teaches all members of the Dolphin family the importance of giving back to the community and serving as responsible citizens. Jacksonville University contributed over 30,000 volunteer hours in the 2015/16 academic year, drawn from combined efforts of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni. We also provide support to Northeast Florida non-profit organizations by hosting them on campus at no cost. In the past two years, Jacksonville University has provided their facilities to over 50 non-profit organizations for events in our campus.

Center for Community Relations

The Jacksonville University Center for Community Relations (CCR) was created to serve as the lead for the University's community outreach. The CCR connects our University and the community through service. The CCR works with students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community partners to make a meaningful impact on our community while helping all Dolphins learn to serve, and serve to learn.

Charter Day of Service

Every year, Jacksonville University celebrates its birthday and the signing of its charter. In honor of our founding, the University hosts Charter Day, a daylong celebration involving service to our community, a reception on campus, and a Global Toast for our friends around the world who cannot be with us in person for the festivities. Whether on campus or celebrating in your community, students, faculty, staff, and alumni are encouraged to join in the festivities, and wear your green and white with pride. Read more about Charter Day of Service in the news.

Red Cross Club

The Red Cross Club is a service oriented group open to all majors and offering a wide range of volunteer opportunities both on and off campus.
