Mission
Through our mission to uplift students from rural, economically impacted, and first-generation backgrounds, empower authenticity, and support student success, we aim to cultivate a community of engaged citizens and global leaders equipped with AI skills and innovative thinking.

Vision
Our vision of a campus where every student feels valued and celebrated for their unique contributions is at the core of our efforts to transform scholars into socially conscious individuals who foster understanding, collaboration, and community resilience. By offering experiential learning opportunities, fostering partnerships, and engaging in service projects, we equip our students with the skills and mindset needed to make a positive impact on society.

First Wave
First Generation Student Success Program
Leadership development program for sophomores-seniors focused on four pillars: Human Development, Servant Leadership, Innovative Experiential Learning, and Portfolio Career Readiness.
Become a Community Trustee
Student employee model with federal work-study (20 hours/week) combining R.I.S.E. Center work with community partner placements on community resilience projects like voter’s registration.
R.I.S.E. Organizations
The R.I.S.E. Center supports various Registered Student Organizations, ranging from a vast array of social and academic interests.
Celebration of Graduates
An annual ceremony honoring graduates from approximately 30 countries—gifting them specialty stoles worn at university commencement.
NPHC Greek Plaza
Located in front of the River House, honoring JU's 5 active Divine 9 organizations.
JU Democracy Day
JU Democracy Day is an annual celebration dedicated to fostering civic engagement, leadership, and the values of democracy within our campus community.

Center (Resources for Impact & Student Excellence) at Jacksonville University empowers students to become global change agents through human-centered experiences that build excellence, connection, and leadership. We create spaces of mentorship, advocacy, and belonging that help students rise into the best version of themselves. By offering tools, networks, and opportunities, the R.I.S.E. Center equips students to break new ground within their families, communities, and careers. This is more than a center — it’s a movement where authenticity, leadership, and growth come alive.

JU R.I.S.E. CenterCommunity Trustees
The Community Trustee will play a key role in fostering positive relationships and partnerships between the R.I.S.E. Center at Jacksonville University and the surrounding community. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the R.I.S.E. Center with maintaining connections with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders to promote professional development opportunities on campus and in the community to expand their skills beyond the classroom.
