The glass degree track is where students explore a variety of glass forming techniques to create functional and sculptural objects.
The glass studio is one of the only and largest glass facilities in the Southeast, has four glory holes, two furnaces, eight kilns and a large, well equipped coldshop.
Students may pursue a major in Art with a concentration in Glass as part of either the Bachelor of Arts degree or the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Degree requirements for either option are listed in the course catalog each year.
All students intending to major in Visual Arts must meet the Jacksonville University requirements for admissions and must complete an official application with the University’s Admissions office. Additionally, students applying for admission into the Visual Arts must gain admission into the chosen degree program through a portfolio review process.
