About the Department What's your interest?

Economics affects our whole world – from government and public policy to banking, private industry, urban development, labor relations, healthcare, environmental conservation, and more. It is a study rooted in economic theory, business, and social science. The Economics program at Jacksonville University trains students to be proficient in a number of statistical analyses and softwares; and our economics courses help students see connections between economic decision-making, ethics, and leadership

Our faculty members and students are actively involved in community problem-solving, expert witnessing, and consulting in addition to work as instructors.

The department teaches Economics courses in the undergraduate and graduate core and offers a minor in Applied Economics.
