Serinna Meister '21

October 26, 2022

For Serinna Meister '21, Jacksonville University has become a home away from home, and she’s made the most of her opportunities to spend time with — and contribute to — her JU family.

After earning her undergraduate degree in business administration and accounting in 2021, and serving as Student Government Association President during her senior year, Meister earned the chance to study for her MBA – and was re-elected SGA President by her peers.

“My professors were always giving tips and advice, for professional and ‘real world’ experiences. I am grateful I paid full attention when they did, because I have been able to use so much of it!”

After interning for a local accounting firm for 16 months, Meister is setting her sights on achieving her CPA and completing her MBA with a concentration in accounting and finance in 2023. After that, she plans to join a Jacksonville-based CPA firm and work her way to becoming a director or partner, before eventually opening her own firm.

“I encourage my fellow Dolphins to spend time building relationships both at networking events and in the classroom. Our professors and classmates are a wise and connected group and are a wonderful resource for students who are looking to advance themselves.”
