Exercise Science Germany

Earn credit towards your degree in Exercise Science and explore Germany!  Spend Spring Break in Germany examining the similarities and differences in US and German health and exercise science.  Earn 3 credits in Exercise Science and fulfill your JU Experiential Learning requirement!

This program offers JU students a unique opportunity to explore Germany with JU students as well as students from the University of West Florida, the University of Florida, University of Darmstadt (Germany) and University of Frankfurt (Germany.)  While on-site, students will engage in lectures, classroom activities and excursions related to Exercise Science and Health.  Each JU student will be paired with a student from Germany and will be responsible for a formal presentation.  Students will also have the chance to share information at an international research symposium hosted by the University of Darmstadt.

JU students participating in this program will welcome their German counterparts to campus later in the academic year, providing them with a similar experience to what they received while in Germany.

This program is also unique as many of the on-site related expenses are covered by generous funding through the Carlo and Karin Giersch Foundation.

Due to the competitive nature of this program and funding limitations, space is limited to 5 JU students.
