The Inaugural Presidential Global Citizen Award Winner: Indra K. Nooyi

November 12, 2014

To our JU community,

Tomorrow, Jacksonville University will award its inaugural Presidential Global Citizen Award to PepsiCo Chairman and Chief Executive Indra K. Nooyi, one of the world’s most influential business leaders and a champion of critical societal issues including public health, sustainability and civil justice.

The award will be presented at a 12:30 p.m. luncheon on Dolphin Plaza, with a question-and-answer session immediately following.

We have never had a more prominent business leader, at the very height of her career, on our campus than Ms. Nooyi. This event is truly an exceptional moment for the University.

The Jacksonville University Presidential Global Citizen Award is given to a visionary leader whose impact is felt "well beyond the bounds of his or her recognized responsibilities." The honoree embodies the University's ideal of a globally engaged citizen who creates new opportunities to lead, live and learn.

Indra Nooyi is a leader among leaders in this regard, and we are privileged to honor her on our campus. With her candor, passion, intensity, strategic vision and compassion, she exemplifies what we stand for here at Jacksonville University.

Thank you for your cooperation as we welcome this remarkable leader to our campus, and as always, we will keep you updated on more exciting developments designed to upgrade the educational experience at this great University.

Sincerely,

Tim Cost
