Congratulations and Well Wishes to Dr. Lois Becker

Congratulations to our Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Lois Becker, who has been selected to become Provost and Vice President for Academic Excellence and Student Success at the University of North Texas at Dallas.

Dr. Becker has served Jacksonville University with distinction for more than seven years and we wish her the very best in her new role. I hope each of you will reach out to her and extend your congratulations and well wishes; Dr. Becker will be with us at JU until Aug. 2.

In accordance with University policy, I will meet with the Faculty Executive Committee, and an interim leader of Academic Affairs will be appointed soon. A search committee then will begin its work to identify candidates for the permanent position.
