Admissions

Admission into the online MSN program  is conducted on a rolling basis. Applicants must submit the following documents to be considered for admission;

  • Completed Application 
    • MSN Cohort or Post-Master Certificate
  • Official Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended 
    • A minimum 3.0 undergraduate nursing GPA on a 4.0 scale is required
    • Graduation from a CCNE, NLN or ACEN accredited BSN program
  • Official GRE scores of 290 or higher
    • The requirement of official GRE scores will be waived for all applicants who have a 3.0 or higher undergraduate nursing GPA
  • Evidence of completion of undergraduate courses in statistics and physical assessment
  • Three letters of recommendation (a minimum of two should professional references)
  • Resume/CV
  • Statement of Intent
    • A personal statement describing your reasons for pursuing an advanced degree and detailing your professional goals. Should not exceed 2 pages.
  • Copy of active Florida license to practice as a Registered Nurse
    • Out of state applicants must have valid RN license from a US state and be eligible for license endorsement in the state of Florida.
  • Students whose first language is not English, must also take the TOEFL Examination and score either 540 on the paper-based exam, or 76 on internet-based exam

​MSN with a Specialization in Clinical Nurse Educator

The MSN with specialization in Clinical Nurse Educator prepares students to teach college-level students or seasoned nursing professionals. This program is designed for BSN trained registered nurses who want to combine clinical expertise and a passion for teaching into a rich and rewarding career. Teaching offers students the choice to focus on adult education (staff development and/or continuing education in a healthcare agency) or higher education (teaching nursing students in a degree-granting institution).

Gainful Employment Disclosure - Post Master's Certificate in Clinical Nurse Educator

Those who participate will experience a focused curriculum that is aligned with the National League for Nursing's (NLN) Nurse Educator Certification Program. Information about the Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) can be found here. Students will be poised academically to pursue a certification and professional employment options in nursing education. The education concentration prepares the student to continue graduate study at the Doctoral level.

 

​MSN with a Specialization in Leadership in Healthcare Systems

The MSN with specialization in Leadership in Healthcare System prepares students for management and leadership positions, and to influence nursing facility policies.

Gainful Employment Disclosure - Post Master's Certificate in Leadership in Healthcare System

The 30 credit hour program provides 18 credits of core nursing courses and 12 credits in Nursing Leadership and Management. Those who participate will experience a focused curriculum that is aligned with the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) Nurse Manager and Leader Certification. Students will be poised academically to pursue a certification and professional employment options in nursing leadership. The leadership concentration prepares student to continue study at the Doctoral level.
