- Do I need a BSN or can I apply with my non-nursing bachelor’s degree?
A BSN from a regionally accredited college or university is required to apply for all ARNP programs. Your BSN program must also be accredited thru either ACEN or CCNE.
- When can I apply?
Our program accepts students once a year for the fall semester. Applications are reviewed February 1st of every year; those accepted will start fall semester. If you are not selected during the admission cycle and wish to reapply, you will be required to resubmit an application the subsequent year.
- Can I take classes as a non-degree or transient student?
Unfortunately, due to limited space we cannot accommodate students who are not fully admitted as Jacksonville University students in the ARNP programs.
- Are Transfer credits accepted?
We will evaluate any graduate coursework completed with grades of 'B' or higher from regionally accredited MSN and DNP programs for transfer credit. If coursework is determined as equivalent for a course in our MSN program, it may then be applied to exempt students from taking the course again during their MSN program at JU. All ARNP students are capped at 9 credit hours of transfer credit, and all transfer credit must be transferred in at the time of admission, and will not be accepted after a student has started the program.
