Position Summary
Maintain JU Sailing Team fleet of boats: 28 sailboats, 2 coach boats. Assist coaching at practices, travel with Sailing Team to regattas.
Essential Job Duties
- Fleet maintenance
- On the water coaching, high level college sailing
- travel with sailing team to regattas, assist in running home events
- work with coaching staff in recruiting athletes
Special Skills
- Fiberglass repairs, minor motorboat/sailboat repairs and equipment maintenance
- Knowledge of College Sailing: Coaching high level strategy and tactics
- Good interpersonal communication and knoweledge of JU Sailing for recruiting Athletes
Work Conditions
- Outdoors at the JU Waterfront
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Work with hands to clean and fix boats
Prerequisites Required for Position
Minimum Work Experience
- Two years
Preferred Qualifications
- US Sailing Level 1 Instructor
