Position Summary

This 9-month position includes responsibilities in teaching, professional development, and service. Teaching responsibilities may be in Management, Marketing, and/or Entrepreneurship/Innovation, depending on the candidate’s area of expertise.  Teaching expectations are up to 30 contact hours per year and may include face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online delivery. As part of course load, this position will include coordinating student internships for the Davis College of Business. 

Essential Job Duties

  • Teaching, professional development, and service.  
  • Teaching lower and upper division courses in in Management, Marketing, and/or Entrepreneurship/Innovation, depending on the candidate’s area of expertise.   
  • Teach up to 30 contact hours per year and may include face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online delivery. 
  • As part of course load, this position will include coordinating student internships for the Davis College of Business.

Work Conditions

  • Primarily indoors except when traveling between campus buildings
  • Some off-campus travel may be required
  • Work is performed under minimum supervision and requires incumbent to exercise independence and discretion

Physical Requirements

  • Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and scientific equipment
  • Near vision sufficient to read written communications and computer display screens
  • Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone

Prerequisites Required for Position

Minimum Education Requirement

  • Master’s degree or PhD/DBA in business or management from an AACSB accredited institution or in a related field.

Minimum Work Experience

  • Candidates should have the expertise and experience, current and significant in duration and level of responsibility, qualifying them to teach business topics.

Preferred Qualifications

  •  The successful candidate will be required to meet accreditation standards and participate in professional development.  Applicants must have abilities, skills and enthusiasm consistent with teaching excellence and instructional innovation.  Evidence of effective teaching or training experience is preferred.  Candidates must have the ability to interact effectively with colleagues in the department, college, campus, community, and professional organizations.
