Position Summary

Jacksonville University (JU) invites applications for a tenure track associate professor position in the department of Computing Science. The position begins August 2019. 

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a computing science field. The department features majors in Computing Science, Information Systems, and Cyber Security and seeks a candidate with an interest in providing departmental leadership during the growth of these majors and a willingness to teach both lower level and upper division courses. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Experience directing students in undergraduate research and development of software applications as a capstone course would be beneficial. The successful candidate will provide evidence of their commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service. Ideal candidates will have experience with ABET accreditation and a proven record of scholarly research and professional development accomplishments.
