Position Summary

The Department of Biology and Marine Science invites applications for a full time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position to teach medical microbiology at Jacksonville University. The responsibilities of this position include (1) teaching undergraduate medical microbiology in support of both the Biology and Marine Science department and the College of Health Sciences, (2) engaging in research involving undergraduate, and (3) participating in departmental/university service. A commitment to providing high quality education through teaching excellence is expected.

Prerequisites Required for Position

Minimum Education Requirement

  • PhD or equivalent degree with expertise in microbiology required.

Minimum Work Experience

  • Previous teaching experience and evidence of an active research agenda in the area of microbiology is required.
