The Davis College of Business & Technology at Jacksonville University invites applications for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of Business/Management and Director of Organizational Research and Executive Education to start in the Fall of 2022. This position is a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

Description of Essential Job Duties

The individual hired for this position will serve as Director of Organizational Research and Executive Education and will act as the bridge to connect industry to academia in the Davis College. Specific activities include overseeing final DBA consulting projects and engaging with industry to bring real-life consulting projects and case studies into the classroom at all levels. This individual will also identify and implement executive education opportunities, connecting industry needs with faculty expertise.

The individual hired for this 9-month position will have teaching responsibilities of two courses per semester. To the extent possible, teaching responsibilities will be related to external engagement activities. It is expected that the individual chosen for this position will possess a commitment to teaching excellence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collegially with a variety of stakeholder groups. In addition, the successful candidate must engage in scholarly research consistent with the expectations of an AACSB accredited institution

 

Work Conditions

  • Primarily indoors except when traveling between campus buildings.
  • Some off-campus travel may be required.

Prerequisites Required for Position

Minimum Education Requirement:

  • Candidates should possess a Ph.D. or DBA from an AACSB-accredited program or a related degree. A.B.D.'s with a clear plan for completion by December 2022 are encouraged to apply. Individuals must be academically qualified at time of hire, and maintenance of academic qualifications is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ·         Industry or consulting experience is preferred.
