Position Summary

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in physics (completed by August 15, 2021), with a background in either theoretical/computational or experimental physics. Preference will be given to applicants with excellent teaching experience and a background in biophysics, condensed matter physics, econophysics, advanced optics, or modern physics. Physics is required by majors such as chemistry, biology, marine science, and all NROTC cadets at JU. The successful candidate will be expected to teach calculus-based undergraduate courses. An active research agenda is required and research involving undergraduate students is highly valued and encouraged. Other engaged learning experiences with industry, collaborating academic institutions, and national and regional labs are also important. The successful candidate will have outstanding written and oral communication skills.
