Job Summary
The Clinical Medical Education Liaison acts as the primary contact for medical/healthcare program development at Jacksonville University under the supervision of the Executive Vice President for Partnerships and Development.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Generate revenue opportunities for physician training programs, particularly contract services for the Jacksonville University Healthcare Simulation Center and upskilling training for US based territory and international physician or nursing groups
- Advise Jacksonville University undergraduate students and graduate students that will lead to successful medical student admission into LECOM – College of Medicine at Jacksonville University
- Distribute information and marketing literature to physicians and other healthcare professionals about academic opportunities at Jacksonville University such as the EMBA, MBA, MMS, and Nursing programs
- Assist in developing summer academic programs to bridge joint degree program development for under-represented student groups
- Participate in research development and grant opportunities for basic sciences and healthcare sciences
- Serve as the Chief Medical Officer for the Master of Science in Respiratory Care
- Attend networking events on an as needed basis to represent Jacksonville University
- Attend and actively participate in required meetings, including undergraduate admissions events, internal growth meetings, staff meetings, community events, etc
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary
Required Skills/Abilities
- Maintain collaborative team relationships with peers and colleagues to effectively contribute to the successfulness of LECOM at Jacksonville University
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Education, Certificates, Licenses, & Experience
- Medical degree in critical care medicine
- Strong interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and organizational skills
- Desire to build new partnerships and advance new revenue opportunities
- Ability to set priorities and workflow to accomplish day-to-day tasks in a timely manner
Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and other business machines
- Near vision sufficient to read written communications and computer display screens
- Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone
- Able to lift and turn objects up to 90 lbs. without physical restrictions
