Chemistry Lab Technician

Chemistry/Division of Science & Mathematics
Full-time Laboratory Technician position within the Department of Chemistry, starting March 2018. This position is full-time with benefits.
Essential Job Duties
Duties include maintaining/managing: laboratory spaces and stockrooms, equipment and inventory, laboratory preparations for mainly introductory courses (solutions, equipment set up, demonstrations, etc.), waste management, and supervising student workers.
Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and other business machines
Near vision sufficient to read written communications and computer display screens
Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone
- Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a closely related field by the start date. Candidates with a Ph.D. or master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in chemistry courses may be able to teach courses.
